Most of the time, small planes aren’t really that much more than the commercial airliners. Also, if you’re in a county like Kenya or a continent like Africa- trying to travel with just the roads can be challenging, dangerous, and sometimes just a waste of time.

You can drive for about 6 hours from Nairobi on almost 300km of bumpy roads to reach Ol Pejeta Conservancy, or take a 45 minute plane ride. It’s easier to fly out of Wilson Airport and land on a dirt strip in Ol Pejeta, for about $200 bucks. Plus, you get an absolutely magical view of the continent from the air, which is well worth the price of admission.

It’s
